American Chop Suey
Total Time: 35 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 box Explore Cuisine Chickpea Fusilli
- 2 Tbsp. Nutiva Coconut Oil with Buttery Flavor
- 1 small brown onion
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp. Celtic sea salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. sage
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1 lb. grass-fed organic ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 head broccoli chopped
- 1 red pepper chopped
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1 jar Rao’s Homemade sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Bragg Premium Nutritional Yeast Seasoning
Instructions:

Cook pasta according to package instructions directions; set aside.

Meanwhile, in large pot over medium heat, warm buttery coconut oil. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant; stir in salt, pepper and spices until well combined. Continue cooking a few minutes.

Add beef and water, breaking down beef with wooden spoon. When beef starts to brown, stir in chopped vegetables. Stir fry a few minutes.

Pour in tomato sauce. Cover pot; let steam until meat is cooked and vegetables are tender.

Mix in pasta and nutritional yeast; continue cooking 1 to 2 more minutes.
